Gastric filling Defects
· Pseudomasses- (a) Caused by peristaltic wave in gastric wall.
(b) Most probably related to aggregates of cellular debris
from swallowed amniotic fluid and vernix near the end of pregnancy. These masses are not constant and may not be found on subsequent scanning.
· Swallowed meconium- Echogenic gastric intraluminal masses changing position with fetal movement
· Swallowed blood
